Gmail has become the defacto standard for email these days because of its ease of use and great features. But some people still have legacy Yahoo and Hotmail/Outlook accounts. Google has supported these other email systems in their Gmail app for around a year now, but they have just announced on their blog that they’ve taken it a step further. Their new version of the app not only supports email from other providers, but now also adds Gmail’s other great features like spam protection, inbox organization and even Google Now cards to these accounts. All you have to do is link your accounts, sign in and Gmailify your account. One (email) box to rule them all?

Well that was a wasted article…the solution is to link your email accounts..ever thought of explaining how you do that?
Sorry @Mike, this was just a news item not a “how to” article. If you follow the link in Google’s blog there’s instructions there. If you do have issues post back and I can write a “how to” as after my Gmail app just updated I’ve Gmailifyed one of my old Hotmail accounts. Not hard but then again not as simple as the blog instructions make out 🙂
