Yes there are plenty of multi-tools on Kickstarter, with plenty of them made out of titanium, but the ViperFish just kind of caught my fancy. The ViperFish has 12 functions:
- Bottle opener
- Twist-top bottle opener
- Screwdriver
- Paint tin opener/pry bar
- 1/4 inch hex bit function
- Metric multi-wrench
- Imperial multi-wrench
- Key ring
- Pocket clip
- Belt-loop holder
- Piece of art
- Gear tie
I know the “piece of art” function may be a stretch, but what caught my eye was the size and the shape of this multi-tool. I have seen and even own card-shaped multi-tools, but they are a bit large and have a lot of non-usable or impractical items built into them. Plus, they are a bit heavy. Some of the other non-traditional multi tools seem to be on the bulky side and have minimal functionality. This tool is slim and flat, at 4.09″ long x 0.94″ wide x 0.09″ thick weighing 0.81 ounces (all measurements and weights subject to change in final production) and is just big enough to house the functional items listed without a lot of wasted space. The ViperFish has many pledge points with a pledge of approximately $54.53 (£41) getting you a ViperFish. Funding for this project runs until September 30, 2013, and if it is successfully funded, the ViperFish is slated to start being delivered in December 2013.
