Google cameras are slowly documenting everything there is to see in our world, and their images help with everything from navigating around in strange cities to seeing crazy things like people in the process of falling down or buildings burning in the background. They recently turned their cameras to the Grand Canyon, so those of us who can’t (or don’t want to) hike the trails can still enjoy the beauty. According to the Official Google Blog, the Google team strapped on the Trekker backpacks with the Android-controlled, 15-lens camera systems and hit the trails. They documented 75 miles of trails with over 9500 panoramic images. Google says: “So no matter where you are, you don’t have to travel far or wait for warmer weather to explore Grand Canyon National Park. Check out some of our favorite views on our World Wonders site where you can find more information, facts and figures about the Grand Canyon, or in the updated Street View gallery, and happy (virtual) hiking!”
What are you waiting for? You won’t even need hiking shoes!
