With more than 27,000 kiosks around the country, most of you are probably familiar with Redbox movie rentals.  Starting today, Redbox is now adding video game rentals to their service.  You’ll be able to rent games for Xbox 360, Wii, and Playstation 3 for $2 per day.  You can go to any Redbox location and take your chances that the game you want is available, or you can go online with your computer or your Android smartphone or iPhone, search for a nearby location with the game you want, and reserve it.  The Redbox site is showing 60 titles now, and you can sign up to be notified when new games become available. 2. IMO this is great news. There is nothing better than trying Video games before dropping $60 on an owned copy. I’d gladly pay $2 to try a game out. Game makers can’t like this very much. They rely on those sales and don’t nessessarly want to let people “try before you buy” as this increases risks of someone not buying their game. Too bad for them. Make better games!
