Sears Enters the Movie Download Arena with Alphaline Entertainment

alphaline entertainmentSears has launched a new entertainment download service called Alphaline Entertainment.  The new service is powered by RoxioNow, and offers purchase and rental of movies and TV shows.  Sears is already selling a line of televisions, DVD, and Blu-ray players that are Alphaline-enabled.  Sears also says that many internet-enabled devices you currently have may be able to provide Alphaline with a firmware update.  Check the above links for more information about the service and suitable devices.

  2. First I’d ever hear of this, and it appears you can only download to a computer that has to then pass the shows to a TV. No Tivo connection like Amazon’s OnDemand?
