Sony announced today the release of Firmware Update v2.70 for the PS3. This update includes a new text chat feature that allows users to chat with networked friends in game or in chat rooms. The friends list will appear on the XMB (XcrossMediaBar). The new update also allows for external backup of purchased media, a feature sorely needed and much overdue. 2. When a Video game consoles cost the same as a desktop computer… A low end Desktop i might add. Yet still a PC… i just dont know what to think of that. We all knew they would lower the price and with the current economic climate, who wouldnt have expected this? This is a good thing. Sony has the best console of the 3. I just wish there were more platforms to choose from…
