I’m more than a little fascinated with magnets. When I was a kid, I would take apart any device that I thought might have a magnet in it just so I could add it to my collection. As an adult, I still love magnets and recently had a 10 foot long steel sheet hung up in my home office (Gadgeteer HQ) just so I could hang stuff up – with magnets. I’ve enjoyed playing with the various magnetic balls that you can find online from companies like Nanodots. This company has a new magnetic “toy” called GYRO. GYROs are a set of 2 balls that house 4 high-powered Neodymium-Iron-Boron magnets in a transparent shell. The magnets are arranged in 2 pairs so that they can… well just check out the video above. It demonstrates what you can do with these cool little spheres better than I can explain it. Nanodots GYRO are available for pre-order for $39.95 with shipping in time for the holidays.
