The new power strip from Wet Circuits is water-resistant and shock-proof indoor/outdoor 4-outlet surge protector that has been designed to withstand the elements. You can even stick a tweezer in an outlet and you won’t be electrocuted. It’s currently (pun intended) for $35.

I saw this a few months ago. I can’t help but thinking. What happens if the logic controller fails? Either all outlets die, or all outlets stop protecting.
It’s a good idea, but I wouldn’t be tempting fate by sticking screwdrivers into my outlets while using it as an emergency flotation device in my pool.
I think this gadget is far more dangerous than a regular power strip, simply because people might stop being careful using electricity near water…
I wouldn’t bet my life on the construction quality 🙂
Take a shower with it? Ah, no thank you!
Otherwise it would be a neat outside plug!!!!
Andrew: This isn’t the same as a GFCI. There isn’t any logic controller within. All outlets will die if fault occurs.
Mathew: In fact, our quality is probably better than most industrial power strip, due to the materials we use are much more robust.
Bob: Yes, it works perfect outdoors, in rain and snow.
