A power station earns its place in a storm kit by keeping the right things running. That might mean phones and a lamp during a short outage, or enough battery capacity to keep a refrigerator in the plan. Buying the biggest box on sale can get expensive fast.
These three options cover different budgets and loads: a compact BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 for small electronics, the larger Elite 100 V2 for a broader essentials setup, and EcoFlow’s DELTA 3 Max Plus for higher combined power demand. Start with the devices you need, then match their power requirements to the station.

BLUETTI Elite 30 V2: keep the small essentials together

Price: $279.99
Where to buy: Amazon
The Elite 30 V2 puts a 288Wh battery and 600W continuous AC output in a roughly 9.5-pound package. That’s a practical size for carrying between rooms when you want a light, phone chargers and a laptop close by. Its two USB-C ports support up to 100W and 140W, respectively, so compatible electronics can charge without their wall adapters.
The limit is capacity. A 288Wh battery is much better suited to smaller loads than hours of electric heating. BLUETTI also advertises a 1,500W Power Lifting mode, but that’s for compatible resistive devices. It doesn’t turn this into a 1,500W continuous-output station.
BLUETTI lists a 45-minute charge to 80 percent under its stated test conditions, with up to 380W AC charging. For outage preparation, keeping it charged ahead of time matters more than finding a wall outlet once the neighborhood goes dark. Solar input is capped at 200W, and the standalone station doesn’t include a panel.
BLUETTI Elite 100 V2: more room for the essentials

Price: $499.00
Where to buy: Amazon
Moving to the Elite 100 V2 brings 1,024Wh of capacity and 1,800W continuous AC output. That gives you substantially more stored energy than the Elite 30 V2 and more room for several devices at once. At about 25 pounds, it also asks more of your arms and storage space.
This is the size to consider when your list has grown beyond charging phones. Check the running and startup requirements of each appliance before plugging it in, especially anything with a motor. A refrigerator’s compressor doesn’t draw the same power throughout the day, so a single capacity figure won’t tell you exactly how long yours will run.
BLUETTI specifies up to 1,000W solar input for this model. That figure describes what the station can accept from a compatible array, not what a panel will produce in cloudy winter weather. Panels, connectors and operating conditions all matter, and the station-only offer leaves those decisions to you.
EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus: plan for higher simultaneous demand

Price: $1,149.00
Where to buy: Amazon
The DELTA 3 Max Plus pairs a 2,048Wh battery with 3,000W rated AC output. Its appeal here is having more stored energy and more output headroom for a group of essential devices. Those are separate benefits: the watt rating sets the power ceiling, while watt-hours help you plan how long the battery can support a load.
It is also a bigger commitment to move around. Choose its place before an outage rather than assuming it will be as easy to carry room to room as the smaller BLUETTI.
Keep the model name straight when shopping. This is the DELTA 3 Max Plus, not the DELTA 3 Max or a solar-panel bundle. The linked offer is for the power station itself.
Make a short power plan before buying

Write down what must stay on, what can run occasionally and what can wait. Phone charging and a lamp are a very different job from running a space heater. For an initial planning estimate, a steady 100W load uses 100Wh per hour. Real battery runtime is shorter than a simple capacity division suggests because the inverter and station use energy too.
Cold-weather preparation also means checking charging limits. Both manufacturers’ product specifications set a 32°F minimum charging temperature for these models, even though their listed discharge ranges extend below freezing. Keep them dry and operate within their manuals’ temperature and ventilation limits.

For a simple setup, power compatible devices from the station’s own outlets. Connecting backup power to household wiring requires the proper approved equipment and a qualified installer. Choose around the essentials you actually need, and you’ll have a more useful storm kit than one built around the biggest discount badge.
