Full-size G-Shocks are easy to admire and sometimes harder to wear. Their oversized cases and thick bezels are part of the appeal, but not everyone wants that much watch on the wrist just to get G-Shock durability.

The Casio G-Shock GMA-S2100PR-4A takes a more compact approach. It keeps the octagonal 2100-series shape, analog-digital display, Carbon Core Guard construction, and 200-meter water resistance, but trims the dimensions and weight compared with the standard GA-2100. Casio also gives this October 2026 special edition a pastel-pink finish tied to its latest Pink Ribbon breast cancer awareness campaign.
That makes it more than a color variation. The question is whether the campaign design still leaves you with a practical everyday G-Shock.
The Smaller Case Is the Point
The GMA-S2100PR-4A measures 46.2 × 42.9 × 11.2 mm and weighs 41 grams. By comparison, the standard GA-2100 measures 48.5 × 45.4 × 11.8 mm and weighs 51 grams.
The GMA-S2100PR-4A is shorter, narrower, thinner, and lighter, though comfort will still depend on wrist shape and personal preference. Casio positions the GMA-S2100 as the smaller member of the 2100 family rather than a separate design.
The familiar formula remains intact: an octagonal bezel, slim profile, analog hands, digital display, and the utilitarian layout that defines the wider 2100 series.
The Ribbon Is on the Dial
The special edition uses several shades of pink, but its awareness message goes beyond the case and band.
A pink ribbon-shaped indicator sits in the inset dial at 9 o’clock, making the breast cancer awareness symbol part of the watch face rather than a detail hidden on the caseback. The model also comes in dedicated Pink Ribbon packaging. Casio describes it as the fourth G-Shock made in support of Pink Ribbon campaigns.
There is charitable activity behind the campaign, but it differs by region. Casio says it will donate 5% of sales proceeds from this watch in Japan to J.POSH, a Japanese nonprofit involved in Pink Ribbon initiatives. In Europe, Casio has separately announced a donation to French nonprofit Odyssea and support for its awareness and fundraising efforts.
That distinction matters. Buyers should not assume the same donation arrangement applies in every market unless their local Casio campaign says so.
Still a Proper G-Shock
Under the pastel colorway, the GMA-S2100PR-4A remains a conventional G-Shock.
The case and bezel use carbon and bio-based resin, and the band is also made from bio-based resin. Casio specifies shock resistance, Carbon Core Guard construction, mineral glass, Neobrite-coated hands and markers, and 200-meter water resistance. The compatible wrist range is 140 to 205 mm.
Casio says key resin components use renewable organic resources and are expected to help reduce environmental impact. That is the company’s stated expectation, not independent lifecycle evidence, so it should not be interpreted as proof of a specific overall carbon advantage.
Two SR726W batteries power the watch, with an estimated battery life of about three years. Actual battery life will vary with use of the lights, alarms, and other functions.
Useful Everyday Functions
The watch combines analog hour and minute hands with a digital display and day indicator.
Functions include world time across 31 time zones covering 48 cities plus UTC, five daily alarms, an hourly time signal, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer configurable up to 24 hours, a full auto-calendar through 2099, and 12- or 24-hour time formats. Accuracy is rated at plus or minus 15 seconds per month.
A hand-shift function moves the analog hands away from the digital display when needed, helping keep information visible on the compact dial.
Casio also uses separate white LEDs for the face and digital screen under its Super Illuminator branding. The specifications are clear, but brightness, viewing angles, and night-time readability would require hands-on testing.
Who It’s For
The GMA-S2100PR-4A is for people who like the octagonal 2100-series look but prefer the smaller GMA-S2100 case. At 42.9 mm wide and 41 grams, it delivers the core G-Shock formula—shock resistance, Carbon Core Guard construction, 200-meter water resistance, world time, alarms, timers, and an analog-digital display—in a more compact package.
The Pink Ribbon treatment adds more than a pastel colorway. The ribbon-shaped dial detail and dedicated packaging give the watch a clear cause-related identity, while Casio has confirmed nonprofit support in specific regions.
