Yealink HA64 Pro Wireless DECT & Bluetooth Headset review

REVIEW – I have been working from home for about a year while I recover from total knee replacement of my right knee, and I am about to have the left knee replaced in about a week, so I will likely be working from home for a while longer. As a manager, a big part of my daily responsibilities involves attending meetings. We use MS Teams, and I normally have a headset on for the larger part of at least an 8-hour workday. I am always looking for a better headset system that features the latest technology and has a long range, so I can step away from the computer and have a long-lasting battery that will last the entire day. I am looking forward to testing this Yealink HA64 Pro Wireless DECT & Bluetooth Headset with the expectation that it will meet all of my needs.

The headset also features an extended boom microphone with acoustic shield technology for noise cancellation. The headband is adjustable and includes soft memory foam cushioning, and the right side includes controls, charging ports, and LED indicators.

Performance

The Yealink HA64 Pro Wireless DECT & Bluetooth Headset is a fantastic solution for anyone using MS Teams, Zoom, WhatsApp, or any communication application that transmits voice. It can easily be integrated into hybrid work environments for professional and even leisure communication for the everyday consumer. I know a bit about the long-proven DECT technology, and its dual DECT and Bluetooth technology offers impressive flexibility, allowing users to seamlessly switch between devices. For my use cases, which include my smartphone and my laptop. One of the benefits of DECT technology is long-range communication, and according to the specs of this device, it can reach up to 600 feet in DECT mode. This is great when I need to stay connected to a meeting but need to go upstairs and answer the doorbell, or for any other reason. Bluetooth does not allow such a range.

The sound quality on this headset system is fantastic. The noise cancellation works very well, and no one on the other end of my calls has ever complained about the audio quality of my calls. I can also hear the conversation clearly, and the headset cushions make it comfortable to wear all day. My office/studio is air-conditioned, but I do think that the earpieces will make my ears warm, at least if my space gets warm.

The other feature that impresses me is the battery life. I use this system for long workdays with back-to-back meetings, and then I continue to use it for relaxation after work while I write reviews, etc. I have never experienced even a low battery issue, and considering my usage, this is impressive. The 3.5-inch touchscreen on the charging base is very convenient, but so far, I just set it and forget it. I have never had to adjust settings. The touchscreen is responsive and easy to see and use.

Overall, IMHO, the Yealink HA64 Pro is a well-rounded wireless headset that is a great choice for both business and personal use. The features are well implemented, and it integrates with major platforms like MS Teams and Zoom without any hiccups. This is a winner all around.

Final thoughts

The Yealink HA64 Pro Wireless DECT & Bluetooth Headset has become my go-to headset for work and actually any and all communication via my laptop. I use it for MS Teams, WhatsApp, and for listening to music and watching videos. I can walk away and go to the other side of my house and not lose connection. The audio is clear, and the headset just works. Well done.
