NEWS – The Gerber Gear Defender is a retractable tether designed for fishermen, but I think non-fishermen could find it helpful too. Clip it to your belt, attach the carabiner end to your favorite multi-tool, knife, flashlight, or keys, and you’ll not have to worry about dropping them. The lockable tether has a 48-inch long Dyneema cable, which gives you plenty of length for comfortable work. The Gerber Gear Defender is available in two colors from Amazon.

The top pic tool is the Gerber Magniplier Needlenose Pliers, in case anyone else was also curious and thought it looked neat and had no idea what it was!
Thanks Chris! I should have noted that in the news post. I thought they looked interesting too!
