Design and features
I’m constantly plugging and unplugging new tech, and there never seem to be enough outlets. I prefer to work from the comfort of my couch, and occasionally, there is wailing and gnashing of teeth crawling under my end table to access power, so Trond’s Desk Clamp Power Strip is a blessing, adding outlets where I need them most.
It arrived in a sturdy box. It’s very sturdy, so it doesn’t need much packaging.
The plug is flat, so plugging it in won’t mean your desk or table needs to be pushed away from the wall. This is a significant safety concern because the furniture movement could cause a cord with a straight plug’s wires to become stressed or bent at an angle that could cause it to dislodge partially. Great job, Trond!
The Trond Desk Clamp Power Strip’s body is rounded and looks great! I appreciate that the outlets are angled to give wall-wart plugs enough room.
An illuminated power/circuit breaker switch turns the strip on or off when you’re not using it or if there’s excessive current draw.
The metal bracket attached the power strip to an overhang or through a hold in a desk or table. Tightening the knob keeps it secure.

As a Gadgeteer, I’m always a few outlets shy. Trond’s five-outlet Desk Clamp Power Strip puts a few more right where I need them. The design is attractive, and it clamps securely, cleans up my work area, and keeps me from crawling under my table. This is one of those products that, as soon as I installed it, I wondered why I hadn’t gotten one a long time ago. Thank you, Trond!
