NEWS – Our 2015 review of the original Ridge wallet showed up on our end of the year most read reviews list for quite a few years. It’s no surprise given that it was one of the first minimal wallets to hit the EDC gear scene back then. Since then, many companies have copied the Ridge wallet since it was first introduced, and now I wonder how long it will take before we start seeing knockoffs of the new Ridge Lite wallet.
The new Ridge Lite wallet is like someone shrank the original by half the size. Still made of aluminum (there’s also a carbon fiber version), the Lite wallet is available in several colors and is designed to securely hold 1-8 cards and a few folded bills if you still carry cash.
You can also attach an optional AirTag holder to one side of the wallet. This $20 extra steel holder allows you to track the location of your wallet in case of loss.
Note that although the full-sized Ridge wallet offers RFID protection, the Lite version doesn’t. That should be obvious since it’s about half the size and doesn’t cover the entire card.
If you’re interested in picking up the Ridge Lite Wallet, you can head over to ridge.com and Amazon where they are priced at $45 for the aluminum version and $65 for the carbon fiber version.
