REVIEW – A few months ago, the power port on my laptop started to fail. At first, I thought it was the AC adapter but I soon ascertained that it was the power port on the laptop, and fixing it would be a bit of an ordeal. During that time, I got the opportunity to review a great mini PC and I thought it would be effortless to just carry the mini PC back and forth in my backpack along with a foldable keyboard and a mouse. So then the only issue I needed to solve was a display. I decided that a portable monitor that is thin and lightweight would be a great solution. I could leave it on my desk at work or I could carry it back and forth in my large backpack. For his solution to work, I would want a very good portable monitor. I just got my hands on the newly released Arzopa P5 4K Portable 15.6″ Monitor. Let’s take it for a spin!!

The Arzopa 2023 4K Portable 15.6″ Monitor is a 100% Adobe RGB HDR FreeSync Display with an IPS Eye Care Screen. Connectivity includes USB-C and HDMI for display and it comes with a Smart Cover.

The Arzopa P5 4K Portable 15.6″ Monitor is a plain design with some sleekness. The front is mostly a screen with a small bezel on three sides and a larger bezel on the bottom that has the branding on it. On each side are the various screen controls and connections. The back features a carbon fiber look, with the model information in one corner. On the left side, the connections are a USB Type-C power input, a USB Type-C power/video input, and a mini HDMI input. On the right side, there is the power/return button, the OSD control, and the audio out/headphone port. The monitor comes with a case that not only covers/protects the screen, but it connects magnetically to the back of the monitor and works as a stand.
Performance
This monitor is very simple to connect and use. It is truly Plug and Play. For my needs, I connected the power adapter using the USB-C cable. I used the HDMI to mini HDMI cable for my display. If you have a computer with a USB-C Power Delivery port then Arzopa indicates that you just use that cable both for power and display.

The Arzopa P5 4K Portable 15.6″ Monitor looks really great in 4K resolution and provides a great viewing experience, for movies and other media viewing. It is lightweight and easy to carry with your EDC gear. It also works great as an add-on/second monitor. With HDR capability and color accuracy, it is also great for editing with applications like Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and other creative software. The only negative about the experience is the speakers which are usually not great on portable monitors and the speakers on this monitor are no different. Add headphones or speakers and you will complete the good experience.

Final thoughts
The Arzopa 2023 4K Portable 15.6″ Monitor is a really nice monitor that I am not using every day attached to my mini PC. I have decided not to replace my malfunctioning laptop and instead to use this monitor and my PC. The colors are great, the screen is clear and bright and I have not encountered any issues with connectivity. I am not a gamer so I cannot speak in that regard, but I would expect it to perform well.
