CROWDFUNDING NEWS – Kywoo3D has launched their Kickstarter for their new Tycoon 3D printer. Focusing on their concept of “Making 3D Printing Easier and Easier”, Kywoo focuses on producing the safest and most stable 3D printer products.
The Tycoon 3D printer has several innovative design features such as a patented auto-leveling bed, linear rail X-axis, and WiFi transfer. With stability found only in industrial-grade 3D printers, the Tycoon is built like a tank.
The large 240x240x240mm (9.4″x9.4″x9.4″) printing size makes this printer well suited for larger projects. A Tycoon Max version is also available with a larger print area of 300x300x240mm (11.8″x11.8″x9.4″).
The filament feed control knob makes filament replacement a breeze. Featuring a direct drive, all-metal filament extruder, the Kywoo Tycoon prints using a range of filaments and offers more precise printing than Bowden extrusion. A wide range of filament materials – including PLA, PETG, TPU, TPE, and ABS – are supported to give you complete flexibility.
Other features include a 3.5″ color touch screen, Micro-SD (TF) card slot, USB connectivity, and an easily-replaceable filament nozzle. The Tycoon 3D also has a built-in resume printing mode that helps you recover lost work when power is lost.
The-Gadgeteer has received a pre-production model and is currently conducting a review.
