There are tons of pocket tools out on the market these days, in many shapes sizes and forms. I am always looking for unique, simple to use and easy to carry pocket tools to refine and simplify my EDC (Every Day Carry). The Ringtool by Reductivist may be the replacement I am looking for. The Ringtool is not so much a pocket tool as it is a key ring tool. As its name implies, it is round with nine tools built into it. The tools are:
- a bottle opener
- 3 mm Hex Head
- 4 mm Hex Head
- 5 mm Hex Head
- 6 mm Hex Head
- 8 mm Hex Head
- Flathead Driver
- Phillips Driver
- Torx Head T25 Driver
Although built with cyclists in mind, the Ringtool would be a great addition to anyone’s key ring for those emergency situations, especially for an end of the day beer opening. The Ringtool is a Kickstarter project currently seeking funding until July 19, 2013. Funding for this project starts at $1 and runs to $40 with $25 getting you a second run version of the Ringtool. If successful the first run tools are scheduled for delivery in October 2013.

I’m getting one of these once they are in the Sub $10 range. To keep attached to my antenna for Ham Radio, Hate having to search for tool to make adjustments. Seams perfect fit.
Looks to be uncomfortable in the pocket.
I don’t have any hex keys in my personal ‘on person’ EDC. I might consider one of these.
