King Ghidorah does not sit in a corner of this dial as a small logo. Three gold heads spread across the face of a Seiko chronograph, one in each subdial area, over a pale background worked with fine waves and a gold lattice ring at the edge. Bandai built the collaboration around the version of the monster that appears in Godzilla Minus Zero, and the design commits to that idea from the first look.

Under the artwork sits a straightforward Japanese made quartz chronograph on a stainless bracelet. Pricing lands at $417, sales run through Bandai and its Premium Bandai store in Japan, and each piece carries its own serial number on the back. Collectors get the character work and the numbering. Everybody else should read the wait time before getting excited, because deliveries sit in June 2027.

Three heads across one dial

Bandai says the dial background draws on two ideas from the film, the pull of gravity around the monster and the texture of its body surface. Fine wave lines cover the face, and the three heads sit in gold over the top, printed with enough detail that scales and teeth stay readable at wrist distance. A lattice pattern rings the chapter track, echoing scaled skin without turning the minute markers hard to read.

Indexes take the shape of claws, pointed and gold, and they double as the hour markers. Crown and pushers carry the same gold finish, with the crown at 3 o’clock and the stopwatch pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock. Gold hands cross the artwork, a date window sits low on the right side, and the film mark sits beside it in gold. Nothing on the face is subtle, which is the point of a monster collaboration done this way.

A numbered caseback with no published edition total

Flip the watch over and the steel back carries a brushed Godzilla Minus Zero mark in the center, with an individual serial number engraved below it. Sample photos show 000, and Bandai states plainly that buyers cannot choose or change a number. Engraving around the rim confirms the basics in English, including Made in Japan, stainless steel and 10 bar water resistance.

One number Bandai has not published is the production total. Numbering is individual, though no edition size has been given, so nobody can quote a scarcity figure for this release with any accuracy. What is limited in practice is the order window and the allocation behind it, and Bandai warns that orders may close early once the prepared quantity is reached.

Case, bracelet and the everyday specs

Case measurements run about 47.2 mm tall, 39.2 mm wide and 11.35 mm thick, so the wearable width stays moderate while the lugs stretch the height. Stainless steel forms the case, with gold plating on part of it, and curved Hardlex covers the dial. Bracelet sizing tops out at about 19.5 cm around the wrist, and the steel bracelet uses the maker’s easy adjust system, with the sizing tool included in the box.

Inside sits a battery powered quartz chronograph movement rated at plus or minus 15 seconds a month, with a battery life of about three years. Water resistance is 10 ATM, magnetic resistance is JIS Class 1, and the watch is made in Japan. Specs like these put it in daily wear territory rather than safe queen territory, even if most buyers will likely treat a numbered monster dial with extra care.

Gold box, three year warranty and a long wait

Packaging gets the same gold treatment as the dial. A dedicated presentation box in gold, built from paper and rayon cloth and measuring 100 by 100 by 65 mm, carries the film mark in black brush strokes. Inside the shipment, buyers also get a three year warranty card and the bracelet adjustment tool, so the bracelet can be sized at home on arrival day without a trip to a jeweler.

Timing is the hard part of the deal. Orders close on December 24, 2026 at 23:00 Japan time, and finished watches ship in June 2027. A buyer is paying this year for a watch that arrives next summer, tied to a film that is in theaters now. Fans who live with that gap get a dial that will still look sharp when the watch lands, though the long runway is part of the price in every sense.

Strip away the monster and the remaining watch is a modest quartz chronograph, so the $417 only makes sense as a collector piece. As a collector piece it works well, because the artwork covers the whole dial instead of hiding in one small print, the numbering sits on every caseback, and the gold box finishes the package. Fans of this Ghidorah design are the buyers, and the design gives them plenty to look at.
