A spare DeWalt battery can charge a compatible USB-C laptop or phone with the DCB094 adapter attached. When the tool battery runs down, the same USB-C port can take power from a suitable wall supply to recharge it.
The DCB094K kit includes the adapter, a 65W power supply, a 100W-rated USB cable and a belt hook. Bring your own battery. DeWalt lists compatibility with its 20V MAX and FLEXVOLT packs, including the DCB205 5Ah batteries in the battery-and-charger kit we recently covered.

The port and the wall supply have different limits

The USB-C connection is rated for up to 100W in either direction, but the included wall supply tops out at 65W. Device requirements, the power supply and the cable still determine what a particular connection can deliver.
There’s also a USB-A output rated up to 12W. For a laptop, check that it accepts USB-C charging and that its power requirements fit this adapter. A USB-C connector on the computer isn’t enough to establish that.
The indicator lights report charging of the DeWalt battery, not charging of the device plugged into it. An unlit adapter can still be supplying power.
A USB charger, not an AC outlet
At $108.95, this makes more sense as an accessory for batteries you already own than as a reason to buy into a tool system. A separate USB power bank is another option if you don’t need the adapter’s tool-battery charging function.
If you need an AC socket, the VAXCANZE inverter previously reviewed on GADGETEER is a different type of accessory.
The $108.95 Amazon offer is sold by Kellie V and shipped by Amazon. That is a third-party seller, not an Amazon-sold offer.

Keep the adapter dry and remove it from the battery when you’re done to avoid draining the pack in storage. Recharging requires a Class 2 power supply; the included adapter and cable are recommended.
