A long tool list doesn’t tell you much about which implement you’ll actually reach for. If your day involves more packaging and loose threads than stubborn bolts, scissors deserve a little more attention.

That’s the idea behind the Roxon KS2E Noir: folding scissors, a D2 steel knife blade, and supporting utility tools in a compact G10-handled body. No pliers here. This is a cutting-first setup for people whose everyday jobs call for scissors or a pocketknife more often than a firm grip on a fastener.
This is a product overview based on published specifications, not a hands-on review.
Larger Scissors for Everyday Cutting
The spring-loaded folding scissors are the main attraction. Described as full-size on the product page, they’re the reason to look at this tool rather than simply count how many implements it carries.
Potential uses include opening packaging, cutting paper, and trimming lightweight fabric or cord, depending on the material. The spring mechanism reopens the blades between cuts.
The scissors use DIN 1.4116 stainless steel and fold into the multitool when not needed. Buyers looking to cut thick or hardened materials should use shears specifically rated for those jobs.
A D2 Steel Blade for Additional Cutting Tasks
The KS2E Noir also includes a D2 steel knife blade for slicing packaging, cutting tape, and handling materials where scissors may be less convenient. D2 is valued for wear resistance, although blade performance also depends on heat treatment, geometry, and maintenance.
Unlike highly corrosion-resistant stainless steels, D2 benefits from cleaning and drying after exposure to moisture. That consideration is particularly relevant for camping trips or outdoor activities where the tool may encounter wet conditions.
The knife complements the scissors by providing a different cutting method. The KS2E Noir uses a fixed tool configuration, so its blade cannot be exchanged through Roxon’s modular systems.
Beyond the Scissors and Knife
Beyond its main cutting implements, the KS2E Noir includes a saw, file, Phillips screwdriver, flat screwdriver, ruler, awl, threader, bottle opener, can opener, tweezers, and ceramic window breaker.
The saw offers a compact option for smaller pieces of wood, although it doesn’t replace a dedicated folding saw. The ceramic window breaker provides an emergency-use feature, but its effectiveness depends on the glass and circumstances rather than guaranteeing successful vehicle escape.
Roxon lists 14 features, including the pocket clip; Amazon markets the tool as 13-in-1.
G10 Handle and Compact Carry
The KS2E Noir combines black G10 handle material with a folding metal frame. G10 provides a rigid gripping surface, while the understated finish suits conventional everyday carry equipment.
Roxon’s published closed dimensions are 3.42 × 1 × 0.78 inches, with a listed weight of 4.4 ounces, or approximately 125 grams. It is more substantial than a keychain tool but compact enough for pocket or bag carry.
A built-in clip provides an alternative to loose pocket storage, keeping the multitool accessible when needed.
Roxon advertises one-handed tool deployment.
Accessories, Warranty, and Price
The KS2E Noir is compatible with Roxon’s nine-piece extended screwdriver bit set, which provides additional fastening options through a magnetic holder. Buyers should check the selected package rather than assume the accessory is included with every listing.
Roxon provides a 25-year warranty covering qualifying defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Its policy excludes accessories such as sheaths and pocket clips, as well as products subjected to misuse, modification, or improper handling.
The Roxon KS2E Noir is listed at $41.99 on Amazon and $42 directly from Roxon. Prices and promotional offers may vary.
Who Should Buy the Roxon KS2E Noir?
The Roxon KS2E Noir suits everyday carry enthusiasts, campers, and people who frequently open packages, trim materials, or make small adjustments. Its larger scissors and D2 blade provide a practical reason to choose it over a multitool centered on pliers.
Need wire cutters, pliers, or tools you can swap out? You’ll want a different setup. The KS2E Noir keeps its focus on cutting and smaller everyday jobs.
The buying decision comes down to what you reach for most. If that’s scissors and a knife, this combination makes sense. If it’s pliers, a longer list of cutting tools won’t change that.
