Chilipad’s bedside remote is getting a pink ring for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The limited-edition $29 accessory replaces the standard black ring on the Chilipad 2.0 Remote, with Chilipad saying all proceeds will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). The remote itself isn’t included.

The company has also pledged $50,000 worth of its sleep-cooling products over the next year as part of the NBCF partnership. That product donation is separate from the money raised by ring sales.

What’s new in Chilipad 2.0

If you haven’t seen Chilipad 2.0, it uses a dock to circulate temperature-controlled water through a layer on your mattress. It can cool or warm the bed, with a stated adjustment range of 55°F to 115°F. In a two-sleeper setup, each person gets their own temperature zone, so one side can stay cool while the other warms up.

The included nightstand remote is one of the more useful changes from the earlier Dock Pro, now called Chilipad 1.0. You can turn its dial to adjust the temperature without opening an app, and the display also shows room temperature and humidity. Manual temperature control works without Wi-Fi. The app adds sleep schedules, while optional in-bed detection can adjust when those schedules run with the dock connected to Wi-Fi.

The redesigned cover separates from the water-filled Hydrolayer for washing and includes waterproof mattress protection. Sleepme also says it has made the dock quieter and increased the reservoir capacity to reduce refills. The noise level and refill routine will be useful things to check in testing. Core cooling, warming and scheduling don’t require a subscription, and the system comes with a two-year limited warranty.

The full system starts at $1,599 for the one-sleeper Half Full configuration. The two-sleeper Split King version is listed at $3,198.

We have the full Chilipad 2.0 Split King review system in, and I can’t wait to get it unboxed and start testing it. I’m especially looking forward to seeing how the separate temperature controls work on our split-king bed.

The partnership supports NBCF’s early detection, patient navigation, and education work. Although both Chilipad and NBCF describe the ring donation as all proceeds, the public pages don’t specify the dollar amount donated from each $29 purchase.
