Most wireless speakers are built to blend in. Black, white, gray, maybe a safe navy blue if the brand is feeling bold. Audio Pro just went the other way with its C5 MkII W Classic. The new limited edition comes in bright yellow, and it practically dares you to hide it behind a bookshelf.

The Swedish audio company has been making speakers since 1978. The C5 MkII has quietly become one of its most popular models. This yellow edition keeps everything people liked about the original but wraps it in a color that makes the speaker feel more like furniture than electronics. Audio Pro describes it as a speaker with “stunning dynamics and deep bass in abundance” that “performs bigger than it looks.” That’s a bold claim for something you can pick up with one hand, but the C5 line has a track record of backing it up.
A Color That Changes the Conversation
The yellow C5 MkII W Classic pairs its bold cabinet with brass-colored metal on the control panel and speaker grills. The look feels on purpose rather than gimmicky, leaning into a warm, almost retro style without going full vintage. The leather handle on top and the open front face let the color do all the talking.
Audio Pro calls the combination “a fresh and exclusive look,” and yellow itself carries weight as a design choice. The company notes that the color is “often perceived as a warm, positive and youthful color” and hopes the speaker “can bring some small ray of light into these challenging times.”
“Our limited editions have become very popular amongst our interior design-oriented consumers,” says Nils Ankarcrona, CEO at Audio Pro. “These eye-catching, not so very common colors in this industry make consumers consider the speaker to be something worth emphasizing in their home decoration design, rather than trying to have the speaker to blend into the background, almost hiding. And this yellow is certainly a fresh color tone for springtime.”
There’s something refreshing about that approach. The wireless speaker market is full of good hardware that all looks the same from across the room. A speaker that doubles as a design piece fills a different need. Audio Pro has leaned into that idea with its limited color runs before.
What the W Generation Brings
The C5 MkII W Classic is part of Audio Pro’s updated W-generation speaker line. The “W” stands for wireless, and it comes with a new app powered by Linkplay. The app handles smart controls, streaming services, and an advanced EQ for better sound tuning than the last generation. Audio Pro launched the W-generation speakers in September 2025, promising better sound, an easier app, and a refined look compared to the previous lineup. The system works as a multiroom setup with all Audio Pro speakers, so existing owners can add the yellow edition to a setup they already have.
For connections, WiFi (dual-band 2.4 and 5GHz) and Bluetooth 4.2 cover the wireless side. A line-in via RCA lets you plug in a turntable or CD player and send that audio to other speakers in the system. AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify, and Tidal are all on board. Streaming services include Amazon Music, Deezer, Qobuz, iHeart Radio, Napster, QQ Music, TuneIn, VTuner, Pandora, SoundCloud, and BBC Radio, among others. The speaker also handles hi-res streaming up to 24-bit/96kHz, so lossless tracks from Tidal or Qobuz play at full quality.
The updated app includes an advanced in-app equalizer for fine-tuning the sound to your room and preferences.
Six preset buttons on the top panel save your favorite playlists and radio stations for one-touch playback. It sounds like a small thing on a spec sheet, but it changes how often you use the speaker instead of reaching for your phone.
Compact Frame, Serious Output
An amplifier pushes 2 x 8W plus 25W through a two-way bass reflex cabinet. It measures just 130 x 250 x 150 mm and weighs 2.4 kg. That’s small enough for a bookshelf, kitchen counter, or nightstand without taking over the space. Inside, a 4-inch coated paper woofer handles the lows while a pair of ¾-inch soft dome tweeters cover the highs, with a crossover at 2,500 Hz.
This setup gives the C5 MkII W more power than you’d expect from something this small. Audio Pro has always punched above its weight with the C5 line. There’s no passive radiator here, so the bass comes entirely from the woofer and port working together.
A sub output on the back lets you add a subwoofer if you want even more low end. Standby power draw is just 1.8W. In the box, you get a power cable and a manual.

Since it’s a limited edition, the yellow finish won’t stick around forever. The standard C5 MkII W Classic is still available at the same price in its regular colors, so the yellow isn’t a premium upcharge for the finish. It’s the same speaker in a bolder outfit.
