REVIEW – Today’s review is a bit different than others I’ve done in the past as it’s a review of an app! I’ll call it a digital gadget for review’s sake today. Popsa, an AI-driven photo curation platform, is an application designed to help you build and print photo books of whatever memories you want to preserve in hard copy. We’ve used different services to print out photo books before, so I was curious to see how this platform and product compares. Read on to see how it held up!

Design and features
The Popsa app uses a fairly minimalist design, which I definitely appreciate. Upon opening the app, you can create an account or log into a pre-existing account. Thankfully, I was able to use my existing Google login credentials, which simplifies setup and avoids having to set up yet another account.
After login, you immediately have the ability to start creating a variety of different designs. For the purpose of this review, I created a large photo book based off a trip to Disneyland with my family last year. There are options in number of pages, matte or glossy finish, and size to choose from. The more options you select also means an increase in cost, but I was pretty surprise at how affordable some of the basic options were.
Installation and Building a Book
Installed the Popsa app via the Google Play Store. Pretty simple.
We built a book based off a trip we took last year to Disneyland. It was special because it had been several decades since I went last and my kids had never been.
Importing pictures was easy. We synced everything up with a Google photos album. The AI tool is really cool because it goes through and starts auto-populating the pages for you based off the photos you upload. You then go through and tweak how things line up and interchange pictures as you see fit.
Once you’re done getting your pages set and everything ready to go, you order the book. One of the things I like is that if you have any changes or need to go back and tweak something, you have an hour to go back and do that before everything locks in.
There’s a virtual view so you can also get an idea of what things look like prior as well.
Quality
The large photo book that we ordered is very nice. We went with the glossy pages and were not disappointed. The pages feel like photo prints. (Storytime with Deadpool was very fun)
You can see how thick these pages are here. The binding is decent and seems designed to handle even larger bundles of pages.
Final thoughts
I am very impressed by the Popsa app. It’s simple and provides a number of options, but doesn’t overwhelm you. Some photo sites I’ve used before that you probably would recognize immediately have so many options and such a variety of tools that it can become very daunting. The AI assist was very slick and helped set a good starting point for the photo book. There weren’t any issues with photos and sizing and formats, which was also very appreciated. It would be nice to have a few more options on the page formats, but that’s a minor item. Overall, I definitely recommend.

What needs to be improved?
- Some more layout options would be nice
