The East Oak TORCH 48,000 BTU Propane Patio Heater with Round Table is constructed from iron and aluminum and weighs approximately 31 pounds. The dimensions are height: 86.6 inches, width: 31.9 inches, and depth: 31.9 inches. It is a freestanding structure and is designed for outdoor use only. The design includes a round table/lid above the propane tank that allows you to place things like snacks, drinks, phones, etc., or other small items for added convenience. The base has 2 wheels for moving the heater around and three anchor arms for attaching an additional optional water box for added stability. Performance
The East Oak TORCH 48,000 BTU Propane Patio Heater with Round Table does take time to assemble, and it would be easier if assembled by two people. However, I managed the task and I am quite happy with it. It is sturdy and quite stable, albeit that it makes sense to use common sense when placing it to ensure that it is level and therefore stable. It is attractive, and the round table around the pole is wide enough for placing glasses and other items. The flat base does seem to collect environmental dust from the outdoors quickly. In my photos, I left the dust for you to see. That dust accumulated just from it being outdoors and despite it being under the cover of my gazebo. The wheels on the base make it easy to maneuver and are necessary, given the height and inherent awkwardness when moving something like this. It provides a lot of heat, and each time I have used it, I have it set at low, even though it was about 50 degrees outdoors. The reflector top does an excellent job of preventing heat from rising, which makes it easy for me to use it under my gazebo.
The ignition system is simple and dependable, lighting the heater quickly and easily, and the tip-over safety feature is common sense. Well done.
