REVIEW – Although I am a self-proclaimed gadget nerd, I never jumped into the VR world, until now. I purchased a Meta Quest 3S for my son for Christmas and made the “mistake” of trying it out. I immediately ran out and purchased the Quest 3 for myself. Fast forward, and I now attend all my remote meetings using VR. Once this became m a part of my daily workflow, I needed to ensure that the headset and the controllers were always charged. There was also the need to store it safely and ready for use at any given time. I think I found the answer to my needs with this YOGES Charging Dock for Meta Quest 3S, Quest 3.

The YOGES Charging Dock for Meta Quest 3S, Quest 3 features a vertical design with LED charging status indicators and adjustable light settings. When the devices are charging the LED is orange and when fully charged, the LED is white. The charging stand is compatible with various headset straps including those with battery straps that make them bigger and heavier. The dock for the controllers is magnetic and holds them in place. There are 2 USB-C ports on the back, one for powering the stand and the other for pass-through power for the headset.
Performance
The YOGES Charging Dock for Meta Quest 3S and Quest 3 is a versatile, vertical, space-saving charging dock that simultaneously charges the headset and two controllers. It is capable of fast charging: It can fully charge the headset in approximately 2.5 hours and the controllers in 3 to 3.5 hours.
The charging stand supports several head straps, including the original Meta strap, the Elite strap, the Elite strap with battery, and third-party battery straps. Its built-in LEDs add to the ambiance of any room or space set up for gaming. The light indicator in the center of the LED indicators is a touchpad that allows you to change the backlighting of the stand between white, blue, and off.
The charging dock also features magnetic docks for the controller charging ports ensuring an easy alignment and secure connection. The LED indicators show the charging status, with orange indicating active charging and white signaling a full charge. YOGES includes two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for the controllers. The batteries last all day without a considerable drain. However, I suspect that the amount of the drain on the batteries depends on the type of application/game and the interaction required from the controllers.
The YOGES Charging Dock does require an 18W+ adapter, but one is not included in the package.
Final thoughts
The YOGES Charging Dock for Meta Quest 3S/3 is the best charging dock I have found so far. Its ability to recharge the controllers and the headset simultaneously makes it very convenient. Its attractive upright form makes it easy to set up in any space without issue.
