NEWS – I get sent a lot of emails asking me to feature crowdfunded projects. I mean a.lot.of.emails. Most of these emails immediately get filed in the trash, but the worthy ones get saved and compiled into a post like this one. I realize that there are a blue million EDC and multi-tool gadgets asking for your help getting funded and I also realize that many of these gadgets are more novelty than useful. That’s why I make sure to only share those projects that I think are unique and that I would actually use myself. Why do I like it?
I like the WingSpan because it’s different from typical EDC multi-tools. Its butterfly knife-type format offers a fidget factor, which I like. I also like that it features a knife with replaceable blades and even a removal pair of mini tweezers. But the main feature that sets the WingSpan apart from other multi-tools is the adjustable spanner/wrench.

Why do I like it?
I like the TriPro Stand because it’s an EDC multi-tool that doesn’t offer a bottle opener! Seriously though, it has some interesting features not normally found with other multi-tools that have me interested. I would use the phone stand, SIM card ejector, knife, bit driver, and even the knife sharpener.

What is it?
The Zen X Carbon seat is a packable portable seat that can go everywhere with you.
Why do I like it?
I know the Zen X Carbon seat looks pretty weird, but I think it’s a cool travel accessory, and I can see using it while standing in lines for theme park attractions, tickets to popular events, long waits for local transit, and more. It could be great for people who can’t stand for long periods of time due to health issues.

Titaner Mix 3.0 Titanium EDC ruler
What is it?
The Titaner Mix 3.0 is a pocket-sized slide rule and caliper with a built-in pen.
Why do I like it?
I like the Titaner Mix 3.0 because I am constantly measuring things when working on my product reviews. I think this small set of calipers would make those tasks easier than using a regular ruler. I think it would be fun to learn to use a slide rule too. Ha! I also know that this will be a high-quality piece of gear because we’ve reviewed Titaner stuff in the past. Of all the gear on this page, this is the one I’d most like to try out.

Why do I like it?
I like the TI EDC WRENCH because I can see myself using the wrench, knife, and screwdrivers. I also like the form factor because it’s different than most of the multi-tools we see.
