REVIEW – I have become a big fan of electric bikes and love testing various models and styles. having an E-bike that I can throw into the back of my truck and then have access to it at will is a big plus. I also want one that is enjoyable to ride and has adequate power. Enter the Hiboy C1 Folding Electric Bike.

The Hiboy C1 Folding Electric Bike is a small and compact e-bike with a foldable handle. It features small rites, a nice seating position, a removable battery, a nice bell, and a simple one-button display. It also features a small but stable stand by the back wheel, an exposed chain, and a keylock underneath the frame. There are also lights on the front and back. The companion app can control the headlamp, modes, and power lock.
Assembly, Installation, Setup
The Hiboy C1 Folding Electric Bike is easy to assemble with the only parts to install being the back fender, pedals, and seat. Here are a few snapshots from my assemble process:
Performance
Once I assembled the Hiboy C1 Folding Electric Bike, the first thing that I did was charge the bike.
The display is nice and simple and only has one button for control. I powered it on and then rode it while testing the modes.
App:
The companion Hiboy app allows control of the headlamp, modes, and tracks speed and distance, etc.
The Hiboy C1 Folding Electric Bike is a joy to ride. it is lightweight but is stable and very comfortable. Whether using the pedal assist or full throttle, it even has more than enough power for someone weighing between 200 and 250 lbs. The headlight is bright, and the flashing rear light is a nice safety touch. It is easy to remove the battery to charge it but even easier to leave it in and plug in the bike. The only thing I am not a fan of is the key lock that is at the bottom side of the frame. I find it awkward. I love the rear kickstand that keeps the bike firmly in place Also, being able to lock the bike display and controls via the app is great.

Final thoughts
The Hiboy C1 Folding Electric Bike is a fun bike that is way more enjoyable to ride than I imagined it would be. It is fast enough, the seat and seating position are comfortable and I would have no issue with it for relatively long commutes. Well done!!
