DEAL NEWS – The Super Shield Mosquito Repellent Electronic Watch Band is your summer force field against the most obnoxious of pests — and right now, it’s on sale for over half off at just $16.99.

They’re responsible for over a million deaths a year worldwide. So, they’re on nobody’s invite list for a party. But let’s be honest — what you REALLY hate the most about mosquitoes is the way they absolutely wreck summer evenings, right?

For many of us, just walking outside during summer nights is essentially becoming a human pincushion as those insects drain blood and leave those irritating, itchy bites all over.

Mosquitos are like barflies at closing time — they don’t have to go home, but they can’t stay here. By strapping on the Super Shield Mosquito Repellent Electronic Watch Band, you can enjoy your backyard or outdoor excursions again without those annoying little buggers.

On your wrist, it looks just like an ordinary smartwatch. But in reality, it’s actually a high-quality ultrasonic emitter, pumping out imitation mosquito sounds you can’t hear. Real mosquitos don’t like it though, shooing more than 70% away from you. Between its indoor, outdoor, and silent modes, you can go about your summer routine without fear of becoming an insect dinner.

Made from silicone, the band is comfortable, stylish, and adjustable enough to fit both adult and child wrists. Plus, it packs a formidable battery, capable of working for up to 130 hours on a single charge

“I use it every evening when I walk outside and have not been bitten since using it, which is very unusual for me,” one shopper said. “Easy to charge, easy to wear, easy to remove. I’m very pleased with it.”

Right now, the Super Shield Mosquito Repellent Electronic Watch Band is on sale for just $16.99 (regularly $39.95).

Prices subject to change.

  1. Gadgeteer Comment Policy - Please read before commenting
  2. So did you actually test it? Did it work for you? Are you the type of person mosquitos love? This article looks more like an advertisement than a test of the product. I can’t base a purchasing decision on this ‘review.’

  3. From Consumer Reports, 23 June 2023:
Ultrasonic devices are claimed to emit high-frequency sounds that are too high for humans to hear but are just the right frequency to drive pests, including mosquitoes, away. The trouble is, there’s no proof that they work.

What’s more, the FTC has investigated several sonic repellent makers for false advertising. In 2016, the New York attorney general’s office sent cease and desist letters to the makers of two specific brands of sonic repellent—STAR Ultrasonic Pest Repeller and iGear iGuard 2.0 Ultrasonic Insect Pest Repeller. “Numerous scientific studies show that [these devices] don’t repel mosquitoes and may even attract mosquitoes,” the state’s attorney general said.

  4. Thank you. I’ve bought a lot of products through your website over the years all based on reviews by you and your folks. I have not been disappointed with a purchase yet; pretty impressive. Bob Patterson does a great review as do my other favs Julian Perry, Gary Kolb, Kathleen Chapman, Andy Chen, and of course you. In MHO, all reviewers do a great job. I trust and value your insights and opinions, and they have allowed me to make informed decisions on my purchases. So thanks to everyone. I was hoping this was a new (amazing) product that would, in fact, repel mosquitoes that just love me. I have researched several products and tried various things over the years to no avail. The only thing that works for me is a large fan aimed directly on me or staying inside. It was my mistake to assume that if it appears on the Gadgeteer website, it has been reviewed at some point.

  5. I bought one of these when first advertised on Facebook a couple months ago. This is a total sham. It doesn’t work. It’s poorly made. When you try to put it on your wrist, the module pops out of the band. It’s difficult to tell if it’s ON or not, charged or not. I tested it by hanging it right next to my chair on the deck in a high mosquito area. No mosquitoes were repelled. I also depend on your reviews and really don’t like that these “Deals” are included. It’s not a “deal” at any price because it’s a total fraud. Please don’t waste the space with this garbage. Your reputation is at stake.

  6. Thanks BJ. That’s too bad. Always hoping for some little gadget or pill that would make me less desirable to bugs. I misspoke earlier, I have a mesh outfit (pants, jacket & hat) that I purchased about a year ago from mozziestyle.com that I wear when I am gardening and out walking in our rural community (read LOTS of bugs) that DOES work. I believe I discovered Mozzie through Gadgeteer. (??) No bug bites! The outfit does make me hot, but note that my body temp runs hot; so, it could just be me. For me it’s worth being a little hot to not be covered with bug bites. I have to admit I am a little self-conscious about wearing it outside of my home to restaurants, parties, etc. but I am really tired of all the bug bites I get and may resort to wearing it in public.

    1. Mosquitoes love me too. I’ve tried a bunch of “amazing” repellant gadgets. None of the gadgets worked including this one. Once I bought a $400 thing that used propane to catch them in a bag. The ads showed thousands of mosquitoes in bags. HA! What a joke. I also paid $16.99 three months ago for this Super Shield Electronic Watch. Also on a big sale then. Just another reason to doubt this con job.
