DEAL NEWS – The Kodak Slide N Scan Film and Slide Scanner makes it simple to convert and edit all your old film negatives and slides – and right now, it’s just $169.97 when you use the code KODAK.

We’re a digital world, but that wasn’t where we started. For those who came of age in the last century, you remember the days before digital cameras: days of film, slides, and negatives, and everything your dad, mom, and grandparents had to consider when they wanted to take a picture.

When you stumble across old film negatives and slides, your first instinct is probably to take them to a photo expert and have them converted. But with the Kodak Slide N Scan Film and Slide Scanner, you can do the job yourself – and save yourself money.

The Slide N Scan is as simple as it comes. This handy device lets you view, edit and convert old color or black-and-white negatives and 50-mm slides with the cardboard frames into digital files that can be saved directly to an SD card.

Each image springs to life on the large 5″ screen as you use the integrated controls to make any necessary adjustments, like balancing colors, enhancing brightness and clarity, rotating images, and more. You can even attach the unit to your larger computer or TV screen to further blow up your pictures.

Then just hit the OK button, and your corrected image is saved as a digital file forever.

Unlike other scanners that force users to feed images one at a time manually, this scanner’s innovative quick-feeding tray allows for a continuous feed of negatives and slides so you can finish your work quickly.

An easy way to save your old photos, users are happy with the results, with over 7,300 Amazon reviewers giving the Kodak Slide N Scan a respectable 4.4-star rating out of five stars.

Regularly $224, the Kodak Slide N Scan Film and Slide Scanner is on sale now — and if you use the code KODAK during checkout before August 6, you can get an additional $10 off, making the scanner just $169.97.

  2. First terrible stock image, one should ever handle negatives without cotton gloves.

Two, it’s a terrible digitisation device because it doesn’t even do DNG raw a standard archival lossless image codec everything supports today.

And then there’s the classical argument of it’s not resolving to or beyond 1:1 grain or even exposure stacking, or focus peaking/optics control…

  3. I have a lot of 35 mm dias mounted in glass frames, the problem is that the focus does not hit because the film is about 1,5 mm above one mounted without glass

  4. Kodak lost the heart of the American consumer with lousy digital cameras and terrible printers, this product is just more junk by a Company that’s lost it’s way …
