NEWS – The Überleben Tindår Wick is an aluminum tube with a paraffin-coated wick. To use this “match”, you pull out the wick, fluff the fibers on the end, and then use a Ferro rod to spark the wick. Paraffin is really flammable so the weatherproof Tindår Wick is quick to light. The tube doesn’t get hot so it’s easy to put the flame exactly where you want it and if you use the whole wick, the Tindår Wick becomes a “candle” that will burn for about an hour. You can buy one for $14 from uberleben.co and 3-wick refill packs are $12.

Bravo!
You can easily make your own that’s just as effective. I used a copper pipe stub-out and ½” manilla rope impregnated with a 50/50 blend of paraffin & beeswax.
Even so, nothing beats an EDC bic lighter in your pocket.
