REVIEW – Every two weeks I go to Costco and buy at least 3 cases of bottled water. I try to keep that schedule to a bi-weekly cadence, but somehow before the 2 weeks are up, my kids say “Daddy!! We are out of water”. While it is great that they drink so much water, especially considering that most kids like sweet drinks, it has become an extra line in the budget just to keep up. I decided that I would start looking into inline water filters that I could attach to the kitchen faucet, but with so many choices all with mixed reviews or ridiculous prices, I all but gave up. Then unexpectedly, I lucked out and got the opportunity to test and review this Aqua Optima Aurora Instant Hot and Cold Filtered Water Dispenser. If I am lucky, my grocery budget for water will decrease nicely.

The Aqua Optima Aurora Instant Hot and Cold Filtered Water Dispenser features a control touch panel on the top front of the machine and a removable water reservoir on the back. There is an adjustable cup/glass tray on the front.
The control touch panel allows you to unlock and turn the machine on/off as well as set the temperature, and amount of water to be dispensed and to actually dispense the water.
Within the water reservoir, there is an insert where you attach the removable charcoal filter. and on the top of the reservoir, there is a handle and removable lid. The power port is on the lower end of the back of the Dispenser.
Setup
The first thing that I did was the opener the water reservoir, remove the insert, and attach the filter to it. Once that was completed, I then filled the reservoir with water and followed the instructions that required me to run 2 full reservoirs of water through the Aqua Optima Aurora Instant Hot and Cold Filtered Water Dispenser before actually using it for consumption.

What I like
- Nice sleek design
- Easy to use
- It works well
What I’d change
- I wish that the water reservoir held more water so that it does not have to be refilled so often
Final thoughts
The Aurora by Aqua Optima Instant Hot and Cold Filtered Water Dispenser is a really nice water dispenser that has allowed me to drastically reduce the amount of water I used to purchase, and it is so easy to use that my kids are able to get their own water and at the temperature that they want it. it also provides instant hot water. This is a very nice product that has not disappointed me so far. The only thing that can become tedious is refilling the water reservoir. It is not very large and with the amount of water that is consumed in my household daily, it has to be refilled quite often. Well done!!
