REVIEW – A few years ago after reviewing my first Molekule Air Purifier, I was hooked on Molekule. For many years my kids and I suffered from severe allergies, and after trying many different brands and sizes of air purifiers, the quite expensive Molekule Air Purifiers have lived up to their claims since the day that I plugged in the first one, and ever since my kids and I are beyond thankful. I now have one each in 3 of my bedrooms and I would love to have one that can reside in the main living area and cover the living room and dining room, etc. Enter the Molekule Air Pro!!
What is it?
The Molekule Air Pro utilizes the same new technology air purification system as all Molekule Air Purifiers and offers the same experience covering up to 1000 sq. ft. It has the usual clean and sophisticated look to match any décor.

Specifications
The Molekule Air Pro comes fully assembled as one simple unit. Inside the unit, there is the actual replaceable filter that can be accessed by pressing down on the Molekule and twisting counter-clockwise. On the top of the filter, there is the air vent that goes around the diameter of the filter. The center of the top is the touch-sensitive LED control and informational display.
The replaceable air filter sits on the inside of the Molekule on a base that has a spindle in the center of the base.
At the bottom of the filter, there is a cutout to wrap the cord around and put it away when not in use.
Performance
The Molekule Air Pro is a plug and play filter. It arrives with the filter installed. All you have to do is unwrap the cord from the bottom and plug it in. Once you do, you touch the top center of the filter to adjust the controls and to see the relevant information.
According to the manufacturer: “Traditional HEPA filters only collect some pollutants. PECO destroys them, including VOCs and mold, with modern, breakthrough science. When I first installed this filter, I was in the middle of cleaning and painting my new home. As you can see from the photos below, the LED display provided the status when the air quality was bad, moderate, and then good.
Molekule Air Pro uses a patented PECO-Filter. ” PECO is an innovative technology that utilizes free radicals—the same radicals used to destroy cancer cells—to break down pollutants at a molecular level, including VOCs, bacteria, mold, viruses, and allergens. By using nanotechnology, PECO is able to destroy pollutants 1000 times smaller than the standard filters must meet to qualify as HEPA.”
Molekule does offer an app that you can use to control the unit and to see the information. While I think that the Air Purifiers are great, several years later, the app is still buggy and after a few unsuccessful tries to get it connected and working properly, I just left it alone.
What I like
- The build quality
- The easily changeable filter
- The attractive design
- The effectiveness
- The optional automatic filter replacement program
What I’d change
- When the filter is working at its hardest it is somewhat loud. Not sure if there is an opportunity for Molekule to add some additional sound insulation
Final thoughts
IMHO, this Molekule Air Pro is another winner just like the original Molekule Air. From my observation, it delivers the same great air filtration in my home. I have this unit set up in my living and dining room area and just like the other models, the experience with allergies or lack thereof has been great for my kids and for me. Molekule maintains the same simple plug-n-play operation. My only negative other than the volume when it is working hard (which is usually not very often, is that the app still leaves much to be desired. My grade for Molekule is still well done and two thumbs up!!
Price: $1199.00 (Replacement filter is $150 for this unit)

The “What’s in the box” lists the incorrect product.
No description of how well it works with respect to multiple rooms, or how it compares to buying 3 Minis for the same price?
Thank you!
The minis cover a smaller area. As I mentioned, I have all of their models. The Air Pro is designed for 1000 Sqft which is why I tested it in the main open area of my home. Since it has been very effective in that open area that is probably close to 1000sqft, I know that it would work in any smaller area. I would not use any of the minis in that large room so I cannot answer that question.
I apologize for the error in the “What’s in the box” section. I will ask the Editor to correct that.
Thanks.
