NEWS – Do you ever wonder how people knew what time it was before smartphones, watches, and even clocks? They used the sun, and this pocket sundial from Kala will let you go back in time (see what I did there) and use the same methods to tell the local solar time with amazing accuracy.
How does it work? You hold it up so the sun shines through the small hole in the center onto the inner hour ring to tell the time +/- 10 minutes. It even works as a compass. The Kala pocket sundial is made of brass and folds flat when you’re not using it. You can buy one for around $56 from Kala, The Grommet, or a similar one for a few dollars less on Amazon.
