I don’t know what Chillovean lighting effects are, but these pocket watches have them and they look cool

I used to carry a pocket watch because I like being different and they are more unique than an ordinary wristwatch. No pocket watch that I’ve owned or seen featured Chillovean lighting effects like these Starling watches though. Steampunk fans will love these limited edition collectible pocket watches that were invented by Frank Cohen and Disney Imagineer Terri Hardin Jackson. They feature lights that cycle when you open the cover. The Chillovean glow effects lighting system offers more than 67 million color combinations so it always looks different. The watches feature a battery-powered, precision Quartz movement that never needs winding and come with a sculpted cast resin display box. The watches are even featured in a special time-traveling romantic fantasy story that you can read by registering to have the six-chapter short story delivered free via email. There are six different Startling watches which are priced at $80 each. For more info visit Starlingwatch.com

  2. Thanks Julie,

I visited their website. Really neat product.

I gave my husband a pocket watch for XMass several years ago and he loved it!

I wouldn’t mind one for myself. However, I’d like a more modern and feminine design than they currently offer.

Question: does this light up in the dark?

    1. Julie,
Thanks for your interest. You might want to take another look at The Rewind, Translate and What-if designs. Those seem to be a favorite among the women at our shows, while men seem to really like the Inception, Memories and Snapshot designs.

As to your question about how the lights function, they come one for a few minutes and offer a “brilliant” display when the watch is moved.

      Thanks!
