If you have the Cat Hammock from ThinkGeek, it may not be the impossible dream any longer. The Cat Hammock is designed with non-slip loops to fit on the four legs of small tables or chairs (leg spread of 18-27 inches apart on each side). It’s made of nylon and polyester fleece, so it’s machine washable. The Cat Hammock is a substitute for a pet bed in small rooms, or it’s just a great place for Kitty to relax and survey her domain. It’s available in all black or neutral with black fleece from ThinkGeek for $28.99.

I notice the legs of that chair in the picture flare quite noticeably…
@DStaal The other two pictures at ThinkGeek show chairs with vertical legs and no flare.
Oy my cat would use this on her back to have easier access to claw the stuffing out of the bottom of the chair.
@Andrew You know she’s going to shred it anyway. With this, at least she’ll be comfortable! 😉 Or maybe you could push it up against the bottom of the chair so she can’t get in it. Then she’ll shred the hammock, which is cheaper than the chair!
Hmmm, You know my cat too well
