Hate having to take your messenger off just to take your jacket off? Acronym is a German-based company who makes a pretty funky range of technical bags, pants and jackets.  The E-J23 shown above allows you to remove your jacket without taking your messenger bag off. Other jackets  are “a hybrid of vintage Japanese kimono and modern technical sportswear pattern making.” And you really have to check out their gravity pockets. 🙂

Made of technical fabrics such as 3-Layer Goretex and Schoeller 3XDRY Dryskin, they may well be of interest if you’re after that jacket that’s just a little bit different.

  2. very cool… although im not sure when i would even need to remove my jacket while i have my courier bag still ON.
The most-important question is… does the jacket come with the double-sword sleeve inserts?!?!

  3. WOW, We can’t cure the common cold, but we can figure out how to remove a jacket without removing a bag from our shoulders.

Not really impressed. but I am not a bike messenger.

Now let’s see him put it back on, without removing the bag.

  4. hmmm. I just finished watching the short films/commercials on their site and *eureka*- the perfect practical application for this “technology”.
There have been many times i’ve been driving with a jacket, and wanted to take it off while i was driving (because i got hot) and had my seatbelt on. It always involved needing the assitance of a passeger in the next seat :p
