fetchtasticHumans were too lazy to get up off their bums to change the channel on the TV, so the remote control was invented. We were too lazy to go to the library so eBook Readers were invented. Now we’re apparently too lazy to play ball with our dogs, so the Fetchtastic was invented. The Fetchtastic is a battery or AC powered tennis ball launcher that will keep your pooch busy for hours. Fill it with small or standard sized tennis balls and it will automatically launch one every 7 seconds from 12 to 24 feet. If you train your dog to insert the ball back in the caddy, it will never run out. I have to say that this would have been a perfect gadget back when my Corgi was still living. She would play fetch till I got tired of throwing the ball and wiping the slobbers off my hands. The Fetchtastic would be a great toy for people with dogs that need to run off a lot of energy. It comes in either AC or Battery powered versions and is priced at $149.99.

  2. Hi Jackie, absolutely! It’s made by the same manufacturer that makes high-quality sports machines for Wilson. So ,yes, Fetchtastic can double as a fetch playmate for Fido and a tennis partner for you!

  3. I bought somthing like this one time…it worked for about a week. Then it just stopped working…it was expensive, and made cheaply. Yours looks more sturdy, but I am skeptical due to my preivous experience.

  4. @Teresa: I understand your skepticism but this thing is really sturdy! I too had another dog launcher back in the day. My dog Jackson would only use it for about half an hour at a time, but the darn thing didn’t last very long. My husband took it apart trying to fix it and said it looked like it was built using very cheap materials. Shoddy engineering for sure.
Not so with this one – not that there’s been a need to take it apart! I can just tell this one is of much better quality. It looks like it was built by people who have experience with this type of machine (I’m not surprised to read here that it’s made by the company that makes machines for Wilson..).
My pooch Tasha runs the machine for hours on end – I’m so glad I got the AC powered version – and so far, so good.
And Fred: she’s never been whacked in the head.. not by a tennis ball, anyway! 😉

  5. Some people do not buyt this item because of laziness. As in my personal case, I am physically disabled and my beautiful Boxer girl loves to play fetch, but i am just unable to throw for her in the manner she is accustom to. So I need to buy one of these for her. I am doing research for a unit such as this right now, but i am on such a limited income that I am having a difficult time finding one that i can afford.
