REVIEW – I am pleased to announce that today’s review is another Brunt product, the Brunt Torra Lined pant. I’ve review a couple of Brunt products over the past couple of years and I have to say that I still wear them regularly and they are still going strong. Brunt Torra Lined pants are work pants with with a fleece liner and given that we were headed into fall when the opportunity came up, I had to give them a try. Read on to see how they’ve held up!

Design and features
The Brunt Torra Lined pant is a durable work pant with an inner fleece grid lining to keep you warm and protected while you’re working and out in the elements. This fleece lining is compact and doesn’t add a bunch of bulk. The pants still take up more space with the extra lining, but that’s to be expected.

The corners of the front pockets have extra reinforcement, which I really like. The pockets already have more reinforcement than most pants and the extra corner reinforcement is great.

The right leg also has an additional drop in pocket for cell phones and other random things. It’s pretty awesome and it makes for easy access, even with gloves on.

Another view of the pocket reinforcement and drop in pocket.

Performance
I’ve been wearing these pants pretty regularly for the past few weeks when I’m outside working in the yard and doing things around the house. Thankfully it’s fall and not summer, because they would be much too warm to wear in the summer. Definitely a three season work pant unless you live in a climate with chilly summers.

Water beading up on the surface. Not completely waterproof, but resistant.

Even for relatively lightweight yardwork they have held up great.

Size-wise, here’s a comparison of a different pair of 36×32 pants compared to the Brunt 36×32.

Final thoughts
I haven’t seen a Brunt product that’s a dud yet. These are solid pants and I foresee getting a lot of use out of them, especially with winter coming. The only caveat is that they size very large and the first pair I received were very big compared to that same size in other pants I wear. Thankfully Brunt is pretty great with things like that and I sized down a little and they fit great. I would recommend these pants to anyone looking for a solid cold weather work pant.
What I like about the Brunt Torra Lined Pant
- Very durable and water repellant exterior
- The fleece lining is holding up very well even after multiple washes
- The pockets have reinforcements in just the right spots
- They are very warm and are comfortable through an entire day of wear
What needs to be improved?
- They are sized large compared to most other pants I wear, so where I normally wear a 36×32, I had to size down to a 34×30. Mileage may vary a bit, but they have a pretty good return policy on fit if you need to make adjustments
