NEWS – I recently wrote a news story about wanting to finally start my own Podcast, and my quest to find the right feature-packed equipment that would not break the bank. In that story, I focused on the Rode PodMic that is an incredible value for the price.
As I continued my search, I started looking for a Broadcast Mixer I would want and need that would match that mic. That is when I came across the perfect match.
The RODECaster Pro by Rode is a podcast studio that features a great number of professional tools all in one compact unit. The way it is designed, it works for beginners and professionals by simplifying the technical aspects of podcast production.
Its functionality integrates the ability to take phone calls, record internally, mix audio, add sound effects, and many other functions, at a cost that is much lower than other mixers that have the same capabilities.
With its 4 microphone inputs, you can host a 4-person podcast and with its Bluetooth feature, you can add another person Remotely via a phone call. It also includes preset features for hosting some specific Rode mics including the Rode PodMic. It has a built-in automatic level setting and one-touch recording to the onboard microSD card.
If you are interested in learning more about this Broadcast Mixer, or if you are ready to buy one, you can check it out a B&H Photo, Adorama, Guitar Center, BestBuy, Amazon, and other retailers. It sells for $599.

Now THAT looks awesome! Mix-minus, automatic line-level, onboard recording, built-in preamp, bumper-music touch pads, Big-bottom, and aural exciters processing? 123 positive reviews on amazonj … some are really well though out! Very cool!
I’ve been using a roland r-26 for years … combined with my Heil PR40 and post-processing, sounds great. But that Rode looks about perfect for what I used to do. Cool piece of kit, Julian! Have fun with your endeavor, and remember to backup record everything!
