The good folks at Citizen have saved my bacon this year. My dad, like most dads, does not make it easy on me when Father’s Day (or Christmas or his birthday) rolls around. Last year I bought him 100ft of rubber hose for watering stuff in the yard. As you can imagine, he was really touched by a gift that represented a lot of work toiling in the hot sun.
Sheesh.
The Citizen Eco Drive watch comes in an attractive linen case — simple and stylish (and we have not even made it to the watch yet).
Dad is going to love this watch. This will provide a classy and functional accent to his wardrobe. Quite possibly the best Father’s Day present I have ever delivered.
The Citizen Eco-Drive men’s dress watch (Model: BU2010-57L) pictured here includes dials for day of the week, date, and a 24 hour dial (which will ease my dad’s military mind) — all set on an elegant blue face. The band and 44mm case are silver toned stainless steel. The watch is water resistant to 333ft with an MSRP of $350 but can be found at a more reasonable price from Amazon and other online retailers.
I took a few extra minutes to get all of the dials aligned and charged it up, so dad can strap it on and go next Sunday. Charging an Eco-Drive watch is as simple as putting it in the light. Any light will do. It will be nice to give dad a gift this year that is guaranteed to put a smile on his face!
