ROXON’s Flex tools let you replace individual implements instead of carrying a fixed selection forever. The new Flex GO puts that idea in a shorter pliers-based frame, while the original Flex leaves room for longer tools and the Flex Companion drops the full-size pliers altogether.

Those differences decide what fits in your pocket and what you can install later. These three configurations suit different carry needs: compact gripping and quick repairs, a larger repair kit, or a pocketknife-style collection of interchangeable tools.

1. Flex GO for compact pliers and everyday adjustments

Price: $69.99, Pre-installed
Where to buy: ROXON

The Flex GO is the one to consider when pliers earn their place in your daily carry but a full-size multitool feels like too much hardware. It measures 3.46 inches closed and weighs 6.12 ounces. Its pliers fold between textured G10 handles, and a built-in clip gives it a fixed place in a pocket.

The frame has eight slots for short Flex add-ons; long implements do not fit. The included double-ended flat-bit driver takes three slots, so eight slots do not mean eight separate removable tools.

The preinstalled version covers common small jobs with a knife, scissors, diamond file, awl and threader, bottle and can opener, and driver. Needle-nose and regular gripping surfaces share the pliers with wire cutters; a toothpick and tweezers round out the kit. The knife, scissors, awl and opener use DIN 1.4116 stainless steel. The tools lock when deployed, and a separate carrying lock helps keep the add-ons closed.

Released on October 28, the GO is also the newest choice here. The preinstalled kit is currently offered; a pliers-only frame version is coming soon.

2. Flex for a larger, rebuildable repair kit

Price: $79.20, Pre-installed
Where to buy: ROXON

The original Flex gives you more room to configure around repairs. Its ten-slot frame includes positions for two long implements, opening up combinations the short-tool-only GO cannot accommodate. Listed closed length is 4.21 inches, and weight is 8.82 ounces. That makes it a more substantial object to carry, with capacity to match.

The preinstalled selection includes a sheepsfoot cutting tool, folding scissors, Phillips screwdriver, bottle opener and flat screwdriver, awl and threader, rope cutter, chisel and wire stripper, can opener, and file/ruler/screwdriver combination. The pliers include replaceable wire cutters. A nylon sheath and three implement storage boxes are included, which gives the removed tools somewhere to go when you change the loadout.

Choose this frame when longer implements or a broader repair selection are more useful than saving pocket space. Its removable components can be changed by hand, without a separate tool for the swap. A lock secures each deployed implement, while a slider lock holds the tools closed for carrying. The sheath offers a belt-carry option for a kit that may be happier there than alongside a phone.

3. Flex Companion for longer tools without full-size pliers

Price: $49.99, Pre-installed
Where to buy: ROXON

Choose the Companion for cutting, driving and small adjustments without full-size pliers. Its pocketknife-style frame measures 3.5 inches closed, weighs 5.5 ounces and accommodates up to five long add-ons. Short implements also fit, giving it a different strength from the GO despite their similar closed lengths.

A quarter-inch bit adapter and supplied Phillips bit handle screws. The preinstalled selection mixes long and short tools, including a D2 blade, folding scissors, saw, awl/threader and file/ruler/screwdriver. A comb and a pen/tweezers/needle module are supplied as bonus add-ons.

This is the option for building around a favorite long implement while avoiding the larger Flex’s pliers chassis. Select the correct right- or left-hand cutting-tool configuration when ordering.

Which frame should you start with?

Flex GOCompact pliers with a ready-made small-repair kitEight short-tool slots; multi-slot tools use more space
FlexMore implement space and two long-tool positions alongside pliersLarger 4.21-inch, 8.82-ounce frame
Flex CompanionLong implements and a bit driver without full-size pliersFive slots; choose the correct handed blade setup

A file, driver and scissors make a different kit from one built around a saw and rope cutter. Choose the frame that accepts those implements, then use ROXON’s model-specific compatibility filters before buying additions. “Flex” on the label does not make every implement suitable for every frame.

Check the slot count and length of each add-on before ordering it. The GO accepts short tools only; a long implement needs a compatible position in the Flex or Companion.
