REVIEW – Recently, I have been having more back pain than usual. It might be the start of school stress, or carrying around 20 pound twins. Whatever the cause, I don’t have the luxury of sitting down all day to keep the pain away. Design and features

I didn’t know what to expect, but with the pain issues, I was willing to try anything. I have enjoyed this fancy belt. It has a nice battery pack with only four buttons. The design is super simple and effective. There is a power button. Just hold it down for a couple seconds to turn it on. Once it is on you get to choose heat settings, vibration mode, and red light intensity levels. There are four heat levels, plus a built in heat protection that will turn off if everything starts to get too hot. There are also four vibration settings. I was hoping for more of a shiatsu style massage instead of a vibrate. The vibration surprised me. I have really enjoyed the different settings, and can feel some of my muscles relaxing. The last button is the red light therapy. There are also four settings for this mode. This is my first time trying red light therapy. I haven’t made up my mind on how I feel about it, but it isn’t bad.

One of the best things about this belt is that I don’t have to plug in and be stuck on the couch to benefit from the process. I’m sure my back would appreciate the break, but having six children doesn’t allow for a lot of down time. So instead I get to wrap up in a nice hug. 😀The heat setting is my favorite. I have become addicted to the warmth and soothing feel of my car seat warmer while driving, and now I get to have the same heat while I do dishes or laundry.

The 2400 mAh battery doesn’t last that long, up to five hours. There is also an auto shut off after 15 minutes. I give the belt some breaks in between sessions, but I usually do at least one 15 minutes of everything, followed by just heat.

I know this is mainly focused on the lumbar, but I have also used this on my shoulder. I feel like all the settings on this belt could benefit basically any area of your body. I have used the heating pad for stomach troubles as well.

An additional section of neoprene material is sent along with the belt, so that up to a 60” waist can fit comfortably. The material is a nice, stretchy material. Additional straps are added to the back of the belt to add extra support and help everything fit better. There are a lot of times that I just place the belt down first and lay on it, whether it be back or tummy, or even shoulders. Give your body some love and let it relax. Self care is a big thing, and even when I don’t feel like I have the time or luxury of taking a break, I can still utilize the healing benefits from this unit.

Final thoughts

The Bob and Brad ThermoRed heat and massage belt is an all-in-one solution. I love the combination of the heat and vibrations. I can still be productive with the help of the battery power. It makes so much difference to be able to wear a back brace for the support, but also to be able to turn on the heat while still getting the job done and making the most out of any situation.
