REVIEW—I like to think I keep a pretty neat and clean home. I wash my bed sheets once a week. That being said, I rarely clean the mattress protector or the mattress itself. I have seen a few reviews on other mattress vacuums and wondered if they were really worth the money and effort. So when the FEPPO mattress vacuum cleaner came up for review, I volunteered to check it out and see if it really is worth the money they are charging for these things.

Design and features
The FEPPO mattress vacuum is ready to rock and roll! No setup is required except plugging it in. On top of the unit, you will find two purple buttons. One is obviously the power button. The other button releases the canister from the vacuum so you can empty it out.
Pushing the canister release button will let you separate the canister from the vacuum.
Underneath the canister, you can see the port where the dust collected from the roller comes up into the canister. There is a small washable foam filter there.
The canister has a rubber cap that can be removed to empty it out.
Under the cap, you will find the HEPA filter. The filter can be removed and is washable. I use my air compressor and blow out the dust to keep it clean.
On the bottom of the vacuum, you will find the roller brush that is held in place with a plate that has two locking screws.
Here is a closeup of one of the screws. A small turn to the right to the unlock icon and the plate pops off so you can remove and clean the roller brush. The brush is mostly rubber with two strips of hard fiber brushes on the ends.
There is a small display panel on the left side of the vacuum. When you turn it on, the swirly icon will light up. Also, at startup, the lights for the Ultrasonic (top left icon), Roller (bottom left icon), and Dehumidifier (bottom right icon) will light up. The UV light will only kick on (top right icon) when both rollers on the bottom of the vacuum just above the brush are pressed in. When the rollers press in, a green light will also show in front of the unit.
Here is a picture of the green light.
Performance
I decided to run the vacuum on my mattress protector first. I figured very little would get through it to the mattress. You can see the results below. YUCK! It definitely picked up some skin flakes and dust. I ended up taking the mattress protector off and washing it after running the vacuum over it!
Next, I decided to run it over the mattress itself. What I saw was mainly mattress fluff. Our mattress is about three years old and I think the mattress protector did a great job.
Final thoughts
If you already own a Dyson or similar vacuum that provides a hand-held powered attachment for furniture, you will most likely pick up just as much stuff as this vacuum. However, I find this vacuum slightly less weighty and easier to manage than my Dyson with its motorized attachment. The Dyson also does not offer the UV light, which I think is a nice feature. I found the vacuum easy to clean and easy to manage with its weight. If you want to keep your mattress clean, you can’t go wrong with the FEPPO mattress vacuum cleaner.
