REVIEW – I have always been a lover of reading. From graphic novels, to romance, to action adventure, fantasy, or anything in between. It doesn’t matter if it’s a hard copy or digital copy. I. Love. Reading.
My husband discovered my love of reading after our first move, And he had to pack and haul so many boxes of books. He made me a deal: I could have any book I wanted, but it had to be able to fit in one box or on my digital device. Fast forward many years, and I can’t go anywhere without my Kindle now. For Christmas, my husband decided to buy me the BIFTU page turner for e-reader. I honestly thought this was a bit overkill. Who is so that lazy that they can’t tap the screen to turn the page? However, I very quickly discovered this is the Gadget that I never knew I needed.

As simple as it is, it has become a necessity to feed my addiction. One of my favorite things in the whole world is snuggling up with a good book on a cloudy day. This winter has been no exception. Gloomy skies and dreary snow make it hard to fight those seasonal blues. My family knows they can find me wrapped up in a blanket reading a book. After long bouts of reading, I would go over to one of my children and place my frozen fingers on the back of their neck. This is probably what inspired the purchase of the page turner. Now, I don’t even have to keep my hands available to hold the book or turn pages, I can place it on my lap and snuggle five layers deep.
What is it?
There are multiple styles of page turners. Bluetooth is an option that will work with most, but not all types of e-readers. The touch style acts like a physical touch and is compatible with essentially all capacitive e-readers. Or, in other words, anything that uses a physical finger can use the touch style, while Bluetooth may or may not work with your choice of device.
The BIFTU page turner for e-reader is a touch style page turner, rather than Bluetooth. The device itself is very basic and can be charged with a USB C cable. One side you clip onto your device and the other is a ring that you can hold onto however you choose. Both pieces have a power button that you hold down to turn on or off, but also sleep after an appropriate amount of time. So with one end, you clip onto your device, and the other end is a ring that you can hold onto however you’d like. Both pieces have a power button that you hold down to turn on or off, but also sleep after a appropriate amount of time. So when I fall asleep reading, I don’t have to worry about my batteries being dead every time I turn them back on.

Design and Features
The best way I can think to describe this device is a frivolous necessity. The small design and fun colors make it enticing for adults and children alike. The device is very simple to understand and easy to operate. The simplicity of one button to turn it on, off, and change pages, makes this a dream for every technologically impaired person. There have been many times where I have to ask my children to help me figure out a crazy electronic, but this has never been one of them. When you press and hold the button on the ring, it will blink, red and blue to tell you that it is turned on, then changes to solid blue once it is connected with the page turner that is clipped onto your e-reader. The half that connects to the e-reader also only has one button to turn on and off. Both sides are charged by USB-C, and last a long time without needing to be recharged.
Final Thoughts
Being able to snuggle up in a blanket and relax with a good book has never been more enjoyable. My hands stay warm, my Kindle is filled with books, and I don’t have to worry that the batteries on the page turner will die anytime soon. I can escape into another world.
One of the only drawbacks I have discovered with this item, Is that I get so comfortable while reading that I fall asleep much more quickly. When that happens, the ring gets buried in my blankets and has to be rediscovered over and over again. Definitely not a game changer, since the pros definitely outweigh the cons.
From riding in the car and setting your book on the seat in front of you, to laying in bed propped on pillows, this has been a beautiful discovery that brings me joy every day.
What I like about the BIFTU page turner for e-reader
- Comes in a convenient, portable case
- Very user friendly. Only one button
- Don’t have to go into settings to connect device. It only needs the connection through touch
- Battery life is amazing.
What needs to be improved?
- It is easy to lose the ring. There isn’t a way to quickly locate the ring. I usually loop it around the page turner, but if I fell asleep and the ring falls off, I have to dig through my blankets.
- The page turner is longer than it needs to be on my device, and can cover up words at times.
