NEWS – It’s story time gadget nerds, so pull up a chair and listen to my tale of woe… Once upon a time, your favorite Gadgeteer (me!) had a long day and just wanted some comfort food. So, on the way home from her long day, she stopped at her favorite burger joint (Culver’s), went to the drive-thru, and ordered a cheeseburger (cheese only, thank you very much) and an order of fries. The friendly server handed over the warm bag of wonderful smells, and the Gadgeteer placed the bag on the floorboard of her Mini Cooper and sped (don’t judge) toward home.
Mere minutes before arriving at her destination (aka Gadgeteer HQ), a beast appeared out of nowhere, blocking the road and causing her to slam on the brakes. The collision with the beast (later found to be a squirrel after reviewing the dash cam footage) was narrowly avoided, and with adrenalin flowing, the Gadgeteer let out a breath and looked to her precious cargo only to find a horrible scene of carnage.
The hot bag of fast food yumminess was toppled and yawning open, with salty golden crinkled fries swimming among tiny bits of gravel and dirt on the rubber floor mat. A gasp of despair could be heard, and at that moment, the Gadgeteer raised her fist and vowed that she would become a hero to all by going on a quest to find a gadget that would prevent this terrible plight from ever happening to another living soul again!
The end of this quest is now! I present to you – BAGO! Made in the USA, BAGO is a strap with a spring clip on the end. It’s been designed so that one end anchors inside the glove box (no adhesives or spells required), and the other end clips to the top of your Culver’s bag (or another fast food bag if you’re a barbarian and don’t like Culver’s). By adjusting the tension on the strap, the bag will remain upright no matter what beasts cause you to make a sudden stop. No more toppled bags, and no more fry-tastrophes. You’re welcome! Head over to Amazon, where you can buy a BAGO for $20.

Now if the could make a to go container to keep those fries crispy….that would be phenomenal.
Oh man I feel your pain. Another thing I would highly recommend is to get yourself a zip up neoprene lunch bag like in the link below and just keep it in your car. Put the fast food bag in the lunch bag and sip it up. It will at least keep your food warm until you get home. Since I moved further out of town I use one when I stop for a quick meal on my way home. It also would keep your stuff from spilling out. https://www.amazon.com/BUILT-NY-Gourmet-Getaway-Neoprene/dp/B0848QFYQD/?&linkCode=li2&tag=thegadg0e-20
Great idea!
A long time ago my takeout seafood pasta suffered a similar fate. My car smelled of seafood for weeks. Now I carry a bungee cord that hangs from my headrest supports. The hook end keeps my takeout bag upright during the trip home.
Sounds like you invented a version of BAGO before they did! 😉
But BAGO has adjustability.
