REVIEW – I reviewed SwitchBot’s K10+ small but powerful robot vacuum here and love it! It’s outstanding at navigating small spaces, under chairs, and into corners that are a galaxy far, far away from larger models.
SwitchBot’s engineers have added a cordless stick vacuum to the package for a better cleaning experience. Amazing!
What is it?

Design and features
A few decades ago, robot vacuums were the stuff of fantasy like R2-D2 and C-3P0. Now, they patrol our houses to seek and capture sand from Tatooine, Wookie hair from Kashyyyk, and crud from Coruscant.
SwitchBot continues to surprise me with its products. The latest to grace my home is their new K10+ Pro set, which includes a small but capable vacuum robot and cordless stick vacuum. It arrived well-boxed and protected.
Assembly took only a few minutes. Although the number of parts initially looks daunting, SwitchBot’s documentation is first-class and easy to follow.
There are four screws and decorative caps to secure the stick vacuum charging stand to the base, but they include a screwdriver. Nice touch.
SwitchBot includes a spare vacuum bag and a side sweeping brush.
The charging stand is stable, even with the stick vacuum charging.
I always appreciate cord storage! This design protrudes further than other models to ensure enough space between the base and wall to accommodate the stick vacuum.
The charging guide pins are a worthy improvement.
The K10+ portion, including the mopping functions, remains the same as the previous version (read the complete review here). It’s a great machine and powers through debris (like kitty litter) with very little left behind. Bravo!
Assembly of the stick vacuum was straightforward with a few clicks.
Four cleaning tips and a handy storage caddy are included. I’ll keep the larger brush head installed. Very nice!
The battery clips into the handle and lasts for 14 minutes and 39 seconds minutes at maximum power with the larger brush bar installed. It was plenty of time to run a quick cleanup of my home.
The brush bar lights the way with “Yoda’s lightsaber” green LEDs.
The vacuum suction is excellent, collecting a surprising amount of dirt. When placed on the charging stand, it empties automatically. However, it’s loud when this happens, so you might not want it in the nursery.
Clean The HEPA filter once a month and replace it every two or three months. Dust evacuates into a bag in the base, so you don’t have to mess with it.
There is a second filter in the handle.
Add the vacuum to the app to access advanced functions, settings, and schedules. Under the “firmware and battery” settings, you can see the charge status of both vacuums. Since the stick vacuum is a manually operated device, there aren’t many parameters to change or monitor.
Mapping is the same as the previous version and is very effective. “No-go zones” and “virtual walls keep the vacuum from venturing into forbidden or dangerous territory.
What I like about the SwitchBot K10+ Pro Vacuum Combo
- Excellent vacuum performance for both the robot and stick vacuum
- Auto-emptying for both
- Easy maintenance
- The K10+ fits into the smallest corners other robots can’t go.
- All-in-one vacuum storage is excellent for keeping everything organized
- The stick vacuum performs well and is easy to handle, with good battery life
What needs to be improved?
- The K10+ occasionally has trouble with dark carpets and rugs. I’m hoping software updates will rectify the situation in the future.
Final thoughts
SwitchBot continues to do an exemplary job with its home automation products, and I’ve become a big fan. Pricing is fair (and even better when you can find them on sale :-)), and performance is excellent. The new K10+ Pro Combo is no exception. No other robot vacuum also fits into the tiny recesses in my home! Vacuum power is terrific, maintenance is easy, and it’s been virtually problem-free for months. The addition of the integrated charging station and cordless stick vacuum is brilliant. The cordless vacuum can access the few places the K10+ doesn’t go and is fabulous for extemporaneous messes, so you don’t need to use The Force on your home’s dust bunnies. Fantastic job, SwitchBot! Thank you!
