REVIEW – It is summer in NY, and I am spending as much time as possible outdoors enjoying family life and life in the sun. I have a Gazebo with an installed sound system in my backyard, but I usually have to make a few connections to power it up and then disconnect a few things to power it off. Sometimes I want a simple speaker ready to use whenever I want to enjoy relaxing music. In those moments, I don’t want to have to do any connecting. I also do not want this option for backyard sound to be a visible distraction to my peaceful environment or to include hardware that sticks out like a sore thumb. Enter the Victrola solar-powered outdoor rock speaker Connect.

Performance
Once I unboxed the Victrola solar-powered outdoor rock speaker Connect, I left it charging overnight using the USB-C charging cable and a correctly rated USB to AC plug.
The next day, I took it outside to the backyard and placed it in the sun. Since then, I have not had to charge it via USB. It now sits in a sunny area all day.
Once I powered it on, the Bluetooth connected and the speaker was ready for listening. I only have one speaker so I could not test the multi-speaker function.
The following chart shows the basic operational functions:
Overall, the speaker is lightweight and solidly built, and the solar panel has worked well at keeping the speaker charged. The simple controls on the back work well. I can confirm that the speaker is waterproof and its full-range sound is adequate for enjoyable, casual listening.
