Setup
Just as was the case with similar headphones I’ve reviewed, the only requirement to start using the SoundPEATS Space headphones is to charge them fully and then connect to them via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth connection was straightforward.
Performance
Once again, I was pleasantly surprised by affordable sub-$100 headphones. Based on my previous experience, my expectations for these headphones were completely fulfilled. I have nothing bad to say about their overall performance. As I did before, I maintained the previous music selection that I used to test. This selection is purely based on my taste and preferences. Once again, I listened to tracks like “All in Love is Fair”, “Distant Lover” and “I Want You” by Michael McDonald. Next, I listened to “Europa” by Gate Barbieri, “Winelight” by Grover Washington Jr., and “Angela (theme from ‘Taxi’) by Bob James. Then as I did before, it was on to some Gregory Isaacs, Beres Hammond, and Mariah Carey. This time, I added some of the Flamenco genre with tracks like Govi’s Andalusian Nights.
The SoundPEATS Space headphones do a great job across all frequency ranges, from lows to mids to highs, and have just the right presence to create an enjoyable listening experience without any fatigue. There is enough bass, mids, and highs, and the highs peak at just the right frequency. Just as expected, the SoundPEATS Space headphones also performed well with movies, YouTube videos, and podcasts, and as expected, phone conversations were clean and clear.
There is also the added benefit of the SoundPeats app that allows for sound customization. I found my best experience was without the “extra bass” enabled. Here is an illustration of the functionality of the app and some screenshots from the app:
The battery life is fantastic and I have not experienced any connectivity issues. These headphones are comfortable, and there is no fatigue when wearing them for extended listening sessions.
What I like
- Sleek and attractive design
- Very nice sound
- Great battery life
- Solid Bluetooth connection
What I’d change
- I wish the headphones came with a hard case
Final thoughts
The SoundPEATS Space headphones are extremely comfortable to wear and produce a nice and balanced sound. I am very pleased with the performance, and IMHO they are a great bang for the buck. Well done!!
