Performance

Like the previous sub $100 headphones that I tested, the TOZO HT2 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones surprised me with their performance.
After my previous experience, my expectations for these headphones were completely fulfilled. I was quite amazed at the overall performance. As I mentioned previously, since I am a bit old school and for the baseline test, I listened to tracks like “All in Love is Fair”, “Distant Lover” and “I Want You” by Michael McDonald. Next, I listened to “Europa” by Gate Barbieri, “Winelight” by Grover Washington Jr., and “Angela (theme from ‘Taxi’) – by Bob James. Then it was on to some Gregory Isaacs, Beres Hammond, and Mariah Carey to round things off. I used this sample set for my previous review because I wanted to compare the sound to the other sub $100 headphones.

These headphones do a great job across all of the frequency ranges from lows to mids to highs and have just the right presence to create an enjoyable listening experience without any fatigue. I thoroughly enjoyed them across the music genres that I listened to, and I have to mention that the quality of my phone conversations was also quite good.

I also tested them with Movies, YouTube videos, and Podcasts, and the experience was the same.

The Tozo app is a nice add-on that allows for sound customization. It works well, but to be honest, these headphones sound pretty good right out of the box.

Here are some screenshots from the app:

The battery life is substantial, and I have not experienced any connectivity issues. These headphones fit comfortably, and there is no fatigue when wearing them for a long time.

What I like

  • They are nicely built and simple yet attractive
  • They sound great
  • They are very comfortable to wear

What I’d change

  • As with the previous headphones that I reviewed, I need a hard case and I wish it came with one even if the overall cost was a bit more.

Final thoughts

The TOZO HT2 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones are extremely comfortable to wear and simply sound great. I am so pleasantly amazed at the performance of these headphones. And the value for the cost is simply great.  Very well done!!

Yeah I returned mine. Too quiet with anc on, anc average. I’m waiting until I can afford some XM5s or similar cause I’m clearly too fussy!
