SPONSORED NEWS – SIRUI has released a new 150mm T2.9 1.6x full frame anamorphic lens to further complement their 1.6x full frame anamorphic lens lineup. Now, the SIRUI Venus 1.6x Anamorphic Lineup shows up with all the lenses included.
This new 150mm lens allows photographers to frame their subject properly without having to stand very close to it. Equivalent to 94mm horizontally, it is suitable for portrait, still life shooting, etc., helping you focus on the center of the image and separate the subject from the background.
The SIRUI 150mm T2.9 1.6x anamorphic lens breaks through the limitations that other anamorphic lenses have. With a 0.58m minimum focus distance, it works well with close-up shooting.
Cinematic images can also be created via this 150mm anamorphic lens. With a squeeze factor of 1.6 times, when shooting 3:2, this lens offers a 2.4:1 aspect ratio. And you will get a wider 2.8:1 aspect ratio when using this lens on a 16:9 sensor. 1.6x is the symbolic anamorphic ratio of SIRUI. Nowadays, more and more monitors have built-in 1.6x de-squeeze function like ATOMOS, CVW, HOLLYLAND, and FEELWORLD monitors.
In addition, to keep consistent across the whole set, these lenses are all designed with matched color tone, consistent lens flares, oval bokeh, etc. What’s more, identical gear position and uniform 82mm filter thread also help photographers quickly swap from one lens to another when shooting. Also, four native mounts are designed – E, RF, Z, and L-mount. You can screw a 1.25x adapter to a 1.6x anamorphic lens to achieve a 2x squeeze.
If you already own a 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm lens from the SIRUI Venus 1.6x anamorphic lineup, or you are keen on shooting close-ups, still life, and portraits, this new SIRUI 150mm T2.9 1.6x full frame anamorphic lens will be a good choice.
SIRUI released this lens on their official website. From 31st July to 30th August 2023, they are offering early bird prices for the single lens and the kit. And they even offer super early bird prices at $1199 for the top 20.
